Manage master and house AWB hierarchies

The portal displays MAWB and HAWB relationships in a clear tree view. Operators can expand a master waybill to see all associated house waybills, verify that piece counts and weights roll up correctly, and flag discrepancies before submission.

HAWB-level data includes individual consignee details, piece counts, and commodity descriptions. Each HAWB links back to its parent MAWB for traceability across the entire consolidation.

Collaborative AWB review with role-based access

Assign AWBs to team members for review based on airline, route, or commodity type. Reviewers see the original document side-by-side with extracted data and can edit any field with a single click.

Supervisors track review progress in real time: how many AWBs are pending, in review, or approved. Every correction is logged with the user's name, timestamp, and the original vs. corrected value for full audit compliance.

Airline Format Handling

Automatic airline-specific format detection

Different airlines use different AWB layouts, fonts, and field positions. The portal automatically detects the issuing airline from the prefix and applies the correct extraction template, so your team never has to manually select a format.

When a new airline format is encountered, the system flags it for template review. Once confirmed, the format is added to the library and applied automatically to all future AWBs from that carrier.

FAQ

Common questions about AWB Operations Portal

How does the MAWB/HAWB hierarchy work?
When you upload a MAWB, the portal automatically groups any associated HAWBs underneath it. You can expand the master to see all house waybills, verify roll-up totals, and approve or reject individual HAWBs.
Can I assign AWBs to specific team members?
Yes. You can set up auto-assignment rules based on airline, origin/destination, commodity type, or round-robin. Manual reassignment is also available from the review queue.
How are airline-specific formats handled?
The portal detects the airline from the AWB prefix and applies the matching extraction template automatically. Over 147 airline-specific templates are pre-loaded, and new formats are flagged for one-time setup.
Is there an audit trail for corrections?
Every field edit is logged with the operator's name, timestamp, original value, and corrected value. Supervisors can export the full audit log as a CSV or view it in the portal.
Can the portal integrate with our existing TMS?
Yes. The portal offers webhook notifications and REST API endpoints for pushing approved AWB data to your Transport Management System, ERP, or customs filing platform.
